KYIV, Ukraine – Ukraine’s air defenses successfully neutralized 52 out of the 103 drones launched by Russia during an overnight assault, the Ukrainian military reported on Sunday.
According to a military statement on Telegram, the whereabouts of 44 drones remain unknown, while one drone reportedly exited Ukrainian airspace and entered Belarus. No further details were provided regarding the remaining drones.

The attack resulted in damage to several private businesses and apartment buildings across the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions. However, the military has tentatively reported no casualties.
In a specific incident, local authorities in the Kyiv region noted that debris from one of the downed drones ignited a fire after falling onto the roof of a multi-storey residential building.
