Houthi Missile Reaches Tel Aviv-Jaffa: 14 Lightly Injured, Israeli Military Confirms

The incident has heightened tensions amid ongoing regional hostilities.

Jerusalem: The Israeli military confirmed that it failed to intercept a missile launched from Yemen early on Saturday, which landed in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa area. According to an official statement from the ambulance service, 14 individuals sustained mild injuries.

“Paramedics are currently treating 14 people with minor shrapnel injuries. Some of the injured have been transported to the hospital for further medical care,” the ambulance service detailed in its statement.

The Israeli police also reported receiving calls about a missile landing in a town within the Tel Aviv area. The incident has heightened tensions amid ongoing regional hostilities.

The Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen has claimed responsibility for multiple drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, describing these actions as “solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.”

In response to these provocations, Israel carried out strikes on Thursday against ports and energy infrastructure in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen. The Israeli military also issued a stern warning of potential further attacks against the Yemeni group if hostilities persist.
