Oklahoma City, OK – More than 38,000 Oklahomans remain without power after severe overnight storms, including multiple dangerous tornadoes, swept through the state early Sunday morning. Storm Damage Under Assessment

In Stephens County, downed power lines have been reported, with emergency personnel actively surveying damage throughout the area. In Newcastle, storm trackers captured images showing damage at Newcastle Elementary School.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department has also responded to reports of significant damage south of Tinker Air Force Base and in areas near the Kickapoo Turnpike in eastern Oklahoma County.

Active Tornado Warnings in Eastern Oklahoma

As of early Sunday, the NWS Norman issued a tornado warning for Lincoln County, including the Wellston and Warwick areas east of Oklahoma City. Residents are urged to take immediate shelter.
