Sao Paolo: Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who sustained a head injury in October, has shown stable progress following additional medical evaluations in Brasilia on Sunday. According to a medical report issued by the Sirio-Libanes Hospital, the 78-year-old leader’s condition has not worsened, and he is able to continue his daily responsibilities. His health will be reevaluated next week to monitor any changes.
Lula’s head injury occurred late last month after he fell at home, resulting in a minor brain hemorrhage and trauma to the back of his head. His personal doctor, Roberto Kalil, confirmed that Lula required stitches due to the incident but did not suffer major complications.

While Lula has resumed work from the Presidential Palace, his recovery has necessitated adjustments to his schedule. The President has postponed all international travel, including planned appearances at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ forum in Lima and the United Nations climate summit, COP29, in Azerbaijan.
