Russian Strike on Kramatorsk Hotel Injures Two Journalists, One Missing

Three Journalists, Including Briton and American, Affected by Russian Attack in Ukraine’s Donetsk Region

A nighttime Russian strike on a hotel in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk has left two journalists wounded, with a third still missing under the rubble, according to local authorities. The strike, which occurred in the Donetsk region, targeted a hotel, also causing damage to a nearby multi-storey building.

Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk regional government, reported on Telegram that the journalists involved are nationals of Ukraine, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Rescue operations are ongoing to locate the missing journalist.

The two injured journalists are receiving medical treatment for their wounds, while efforts continue to clear the rubble in search of their missing colleague.

In addition to the damage to the hotel, a nearby high-rise building was also affected by the strike.

This incident comes amid ongoing tensions in the region, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirming the use of a new class of domestically-produced drones in recent attacks on Russian targets.
