16 Rape Cases Making Headlines Across India in Just 10 Days! Bengal to UP

India has been rocked by a series of brutal rape cases over the past ten days, with a total of 16 incidents making headlines across the nation. From Uttar Pradesh to Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh to Karnataka, the reports highlight a disturbing rise in sexual violence despite public outcry and protests.

In Uttar Pradesh, a nurse was allegedly raped by a doctor who held her hostage inside a private hospital, just days after the shocking rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. The police, responding to the victim’s father’s complaint, have arrested three suspects in connection with the incident, according to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sandeep Kumar Meena.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Uttar Pradesh, a 14-year-old girl died after being raped by her school teacher. The girl succumbed to her injuries after a month of treatment, adding to the growing list of tragedies.

In Uttarakhand, a young woman from Punjab was reportedly gang-raped on a public bus in Dehradun, further intensifying the public’s concerns over safety.

Karnataka also witnessed a horrific case in Bengaluru, where a student returning from a party was raped by a biker who had offered her a lift.

Another shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh involved a man who has been accused of raping his teenage daughter for over a year, highlighting the severity and frequency of such heinous crimes.

The surge in cases has sparked widespread outrage and renewed calls for stronger action to protect women and girls across the country.
