Trump Campaign Delays Debate Planning, Questions Kamala Harris as Democratic Nominee

The delay is attributed to ongoing uncertainty regarding the Democratic Party’s final selection of their nominee.

The Trump campaign has announced a delay in engaging in general election debate planning, citing ongoing uncertainty within the Democratic Party regarding their nominee. The campaign’s statement highlighted concerns about finalizing debate details until the Democrats formally select their candidate.

In a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Vice President Kamala Harris was asked about the possibility of debating President Trump. She responded with confidence: “Well, Jimmy, if I do debate President Trump, I’m sure it’ll be a competitive face-off where either one of us could end up on top.”

When Fallon pressed further, Harris quipped, “No, I’d wipe the floor with him.”

The Trump campaign’s statement stirred controversy by claiming that “many in the Democrat Party – namely Barack Hussein Obama” view Harris as a “Marxist fraud” incapable of defeating Trump. It suggested that some Democrats are still exploring alternative candidates.

Concluding their statement, the Trump campaign argued that scheduling debates with Harris would be “inappropriate” given the possibility that Democrats “very well could still change their minds” about their nominee.
