The gathering was marked by a blend of celebration and gratitude as staffers applauded and chanted, “POTUS, POTUS, POTUS” and “Let’s go, Joe!”
Accompanied by First Lady Jill Biden, President Biden addressed the assembled crowd, which included family members Hunter Biden, Maisy Biden, and Naomi Biden. The atmosphere was festive, with staffers enjoying ice cream— a nod to the President’s well-known love for the treat.

Pelosi: Biden on the Right Side of History and Future
In response to Biden’s departure, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi praised the President for his leadership. “Tonight, we saw President Joe Biden—one of America’s most consequential presidents—demonstrate that he is not only on the right side of history but also on the right side of the future,” Pelosi said. She commended Biden for his wisdom, leadership, and impact on American democracy, emphasizing the tangible difference he has made in people’s lives.
