Washington, D.C.: President Joe Biden is scheduled to return to the White House tomorrow after a period of recuperation from a COVID-19 infection, the White House announced today. The President, who tested positive for the virus last week, has reportedly been responding well to treatment while continuing to carry out his official responsibilities.
According to Dr. Kevin C. O’Connor, the President’s physician, genomic sequencing has confirmed that Biden contracted the KP .2.3 variant, which currently constitutes approximately 33.3% of new COVID-19 cases in the United States.

“President Biden received his sixth dose of PAXLOVID this morning. He continues to experience a mild, non-productive cough and hoarseness, but his symptoms are steadily improving,” stated Dr. O’Connor.
Dr. O’Connor further reported that Biden’s vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and temperature, remain stable and within normal ranges. His oxygen levels on room air are excellent, and his lungs are clear.
“The President is tolerating treatment well and will continue with the prescribed course of PAXLOVID. He remains fully engaged in his presidential duties,” Dr. O’Connor confirmed.
Following his positive COVID-19 test on July 17, Biden temporarily halted his public engagements and returned to his residence in Delaware to isolate. The circumstances of his contraction of the virus remain unclear.
The diagnosis temporarily sidelined Biden during a critical phase in national politics, prompting concerns about his health and capacity to campaign effectively. Democratic lawmakers have been eager to see him resume his active role in the political landscape.
