Elon Musk’s Reported Donation to Pro-Trump PAC Raises Eyebrows

Sources indicate that Musk's contribution aligns with his recent criticisms of President Joe Biden.

New York: Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, reportedly made a substantial donation to America PAC, a political group supporting Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy, as reported by Ziare.

The disclosure of donors by America PAC on July 15 is expected to confirm Musk’s involvement, despite his previous public statements denying political contributions.

Sources indicate that Musk’s contribution aligns with his recent criticisms of President Joe Biden. James Singer, Biden’s campaign spokesperson, responded by accusing Trump of favoring tax reductions for the wealthy, including Musk, while proposing increases for the middle class.

Although Musk, currently the world’s richest person, has increasingly aligned himself with the Republican Party, he has refrained from openly endorsing any candidate. In March, Musk participated in meetings with Trump and other affluent donors, yet he denied providing financial support to presidential candidates or accepting a potential advisory role in a future Trump administration.

Musk’s evolving political stance has influenced his public image, as evidenced by a CivicScience poll showing shifts in consumer opinion following his critiques of Biden’s policies, particularly on immigration and electric vehicles.

Meanwhile, internal pressures within Biden’s party are urging reassessment of his candidacy, citing concerns about his age and ability to manage another term.
