NATO Chief: If Russia Wins in Ukraine, Global Security Would Be in Peril

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that the outcome of this conflict will profoundly impact global security for generations.

Washington: The conflict in Ukraine intensifies with Kyiv recently under attack, resulting in widespread devastation and tragic loss of life.

NATO has issued a stark warning, highlighting Russia’s potential triumph in Ukraine as the “greatest risk” to global security.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that the outcome of this conflict will profoundly impact global security for generations.

“The biggest cost and the greatest risk will be if Russia wins in Ukraine. We cannot let that happen,” Stoltenberg asserted during the opening of this year’s NATO summit, as reported by TASS.

He underscored that a Russian victory could embolden authoritarian regimes in Iran, North Korea, and China, all of whom support Russia and seek NATO’s failure.

In response, Stoltenberg called on all NATO members to bolster their support for Ukraine. However, he refrained from addressing Ukraine’s potential accession to the alliance.
