New York: Data leaks remain a pressing concern in today’s digital landscape, with yet another significant breach discovered affecting users of the popular social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). Cybersecurity researchers at Cyber Press have uncovered a leaked database totaling 9.4GB in size.
The leaked data comprises sensitive user information such as email addresses, names, and other account details, exposing nearly 200 million users to potential threats like spyware and phishing attacks. Despite the severity of the breach, no official statement has been released by X or any authoritative source at this time.
Initial reports of the leak surfaced on a prominent hacking forum dedicated to data breaches, where a user under the alias “michupa” registered a new account on July 7 and subsequently shared 9.7GB of leaked data divided into ten files, each approximately 1GB in size. These files, collectively named “Twitter_Full_b1nd”, contain comprehensive user profiles with detailed account information.
