Moscow: The Russian defense ministry announced via the Telegram messaging app that its forces had successfully destroyed a total of 36 Ukrainian drones. According to the ministry, fifteen drones were taken down near the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine, and an additional nine drones were destroyed over the Lipetsk region, situated several hundred kilometers south of Moscow.
In a detailed report, the ministry mentioned that four drones were intercepted over each of the Voronezh and Bryansk regions in southwestern Russia, with two more drones being neutralized in both the Oryol and Belgorod regions.
Local authorities, including the governors of the Lipetsk and Bryansk regions, confirmed on their respective Telegram channels that the drone attacks did not result in any injuries or significant damage.

It’s noteworthy that Russian officials frequently refrain from fully disclosing the extent of the damage caused by Ukrainian attacks.
In response to these events, Kyiv has emphasized that its attacks on Russia’s military, transport, and energy infrastructure are retaliatory actions. These measures are in response to Moscow’s ongoing assaults on Ukrainian territory since the commencement of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
