Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House Press Secretary, has dismissed videos circulating online depicting President Biden appearing confused or freezing as “cheap fakes.” In a press briefing, she urged the public not to trust these videos, emphasizing that they are misleading and lack credibility.
Addressing right-wing individuals who are sharing these videos, Jean-Pierre highlighted their “credibility problem.” She stated, “I think you all have called this the cheap fake video, and that’s exactly what they are. They are cheap fake videos.” Jean-Pierre condemned the dissemination of these videos, asserting that they were produced in bad faith.

Furthermore, Jean-Pierre pointed out that fact-checkers have repeatedly debunked misinformation spread by right-wing critics of the president. She emphasized that reputable news organizations have identified these videos as misinformation, labelling them as “cheap fakes.”
