London: In a recent incident, British authorities have charged a 28-year-old man for engaging in threatening behaviour after he reportedly threw objects at Nigel Farage, the leader of Britain’s Reform Party, amidst an election campaign event.

Nigel Farage, a prominent pro-Brexit advocate, was greeting supporters from an open-top bus in Barnsley, northern England, when the altercation occurred. Social media footage captured the moment a man, identified as Josh Greally, hurled what seemed to be fragments of stone towards Farage, narrowly missing him.

On Wednesday, police confirmed that Greally had been charged with using threatening, abusive, and insulting words and behaviour with the intent to incite fear or provoke unlawful violence.

This event marks the second assault on Farage during his current campaign trail for the upcoming election. Previously, a 25-year-old woman faced assault charges after splashing a drink on him. Despite these confrontations, Farage remains undeterred, declaring his resolve against what he terms as the “violent left-wing mob.”
