Hamas Accepts UN Ceasefire Resolution and Signals Readiness to Negotiate

Cairo: In a significant development, Hamas has announced its acceptance of a UN Security Council ceasefire resolution. Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri conveyed this decision to Reuters on Tuesday, emphasizing Hamas’s readiness to negotiate the specifics of the resolution. Abu Zuhri stressed the importance of U.S. intervention to ensure Israeli compliance with the resolution. “The U.S. administration is facing a real test to carry out its commitments in compelling the occupation to immediately end the war in implementation of the UN Security Council resolution,” he stated.
