The United States has announced plans to send $225 million in military aid to Ukraine, bolstering the nation’s defence capabilities amidst escalating tensions with Russia. The aid package includes a variety of weaponry, notably HIMARS munitions, mortars, and artillery rounds.
This support comes as Ukraine faces mounting aggression from Russian forces in the Kharkiv region. Under a new directive, Ukraine is granted the authority to utilize these weapons to counter threats emanating from within Russia—a marked escalation in Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.
