Mumbai: A devastating dust storm wreaked havoc in Mumbai, resulting in a catastrophic incident in the Ghatkopar area of the city. A massive hoarding collapsed, tragically claiming the lives of 16 individuals. Among the deceased were a couple, later identified as retired Air Traffic Control (ATC) general manager Manoj Chansoria, 60, and his wife Anita, 59, who were found to be relatives of Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan.
According to reports from Indian News websites, Kartik Aaryan, the popular Bollywood actor, attended the last rites of his relatives, held in the city on Thursday. The Chansoria couple, en route to their home in Madhya Pradesh, had stopped at a petrol pump near the hoarding to refill their car’s fuel tank. Tragically, the hoarding collapsed onto their vehicle, resulting in their untimely demise.

Their bodies were recovered 50 hours after the collapse, and their final rites were performed at the Sahar crematorium on Thursday, with Kartik Aaryan and other family members in attendance. The actor, however, has not yet issued a statement regarding the tragic event.
