California: Apple made waves on Tuesday with the launch of four new iPads, including the revamped iPad Air and the highly anticipated iPad Pro featuring the innovative M4 chipset and an advanced OLED display. Alongside these releases, Apple also introduced the enhanced Magic Keyboard and the all-new Pencil Pro, catering to the evolving needs of users.
The iPad Air, now available in 11-inch and 13-inch variants, boasts a speedier M2 chipset, promising enhanced performance for a variety of tasks. Meanwhile, the iPad Pro receives a significant overhaul, featuring the latest M4 chipset for unparalleled power and efficiency. Despite a familiar design, the iPad Pro is now thinner than ever, earning the title of Apple’s slimmest iPad to date.
Highlighting the capabilities of the M4 chipset, Johny Srouji, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Technologies, emphasized its role in delivering groundbreaking performance, particularly in video and multimedia content creation. “The new iPad Pro with M4 is a great example of how building best-in-class custom silicon enables breakthrough products,” stated Srouji.
The standout feature of the iPad Pro is undoubtedly its new OLED display, branded as the Ultra XDR Display, which promises superior brightness and visual quality. To overcome OLED limitations, Apple innovatively incorporates Tandem OLED technology, utilizing dual OLED panels for optimal performance.
