Miami: Red Bull’s triple world champion, Max Verstappen, continued his winning streak in the Formula One season by clinching victory at the Miami Grand Prix sprint race on Saturday.
Displaying dominance once again, the 26-year-old Dutchman started from pole position and maintained his lead throughout the 19-lap race at the Miami International Autodrome, ultimately crossing the finish line ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc by 3.371 seconds.
Verstappen’s triumph in Miami solidified his unbeaten record in the city and extended his championship lead over teammate Sergio Perez, who secured third place.
Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull achieved his best result of the season, finishing fourth, ahead of Carlos Sainz from Ferrari, who remains the only driver besides Verstappen to claim victory this season.
Despite a challenging start with teammate Lando Norris crashing out on the opening lap, Oscar Piastri managed to salvage points for McLaren, securing sixth place.
Nico Hulkenberg secured seventh place for Haas, while Yuki Tsunoda secured the final points position for Red Bull.
