Palmer Nets Quadruple as Chelsea Demolish Everton 6-0

Chelsea maintains their ninth position in the league standings with 47 points, holding games in hand over all teams above them.

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer stole the spotlight with an extraordinary performance, netting four goals, including a hat-trick within the first 30 minutes, as his team thrashed Everton 6-0 on Monday. The resounding victory not only solidifies Chelsea’s bid for a European berth but also leaves Everton teetering above the relegation zone.

Season Strugler Chelsea is just one win away from breaking into the Top 6 in the League. Currently in ninth position, Chelsea has played one fewer game than sixth-placed New Castle and seventh-placed Manchester United, trailing them by just three points.

Palmer, aged 21, showcased his prowess with a diverse display of goals, including strikes with his left foot, head, and right foot. His exceptional performance continued into the second half, where he calmly converted a penalty to further widen the scoreline.

The onslaught began with Palmer’s opening goal in the 13th minute, followed swiftly by a header in the 18th minute. His third goal demonstrated tactical brilliance as he intercepted goalkeeper Jordan Pickford’s clearance before chipping the ball into the net.

Adding to Everton’s misery, Nicolas Jackson found the back of the net just before halftime. Palmer’s penalty in the 64th minute further compounded Everton’s woes, as Chelsea asserted their dominance at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer’s goal-scoring spree places him joint-top of the Premier League scoring charts alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, with 20 goals to his name. Moreover, his total of 23 goals in all competitions marks a significant milestone for Chelsea, making him the first player since Eden Hazard in 2018/19 to surpass the 20-goal mark.

With the victory, Chelsea maintains their ninth position in the league standings with 47 points, holding games in hand over all teams above them. Meanwhile, Everton remains in 16th place with 27 points, narrowly avoiding the relegation zone by two places and two points.
