Israeli Military Issues Warning: Iran to Face Consequences for Escalation

Jerusalem: The Israeli military issued a stern warning on Saturday, stating that Iran would face severe consequences if it opts to escalate tensions in the region, emphasizing that Israel is on high alert.

“Iran will bear the consequences for choosing to escalate the situation any further,” declared Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari in a statement.

Hagari further affirmed, “Israel is on high alert. We have increased our readiness to protect Israel from further Iranian aggression. We are also prepared to respond.”

The statement follows recent developments, including the seizure of a vessel between the United Arab Emirates and Iran.

Israel is bracing itself for a potential direct assault from Iran, anticipated within the next 24 to 48 hours, with the southern or northern regions of the country likely targets.

In response to escalating tensions, the US Embassy in Israel has imposed travel restrictions for government employees and their families, restricting personal travel to central regions including Jerusalem and Beersheba until further notice.

In a stark warning, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei asserted on Wednesday that Israel “must be punished and it shall be,” denouncing an airstrike as an attack on Iranian territory.
