Israeli Military Reports Record 419 Aid Trucks Enter Gaza Amid Conflict

Israel's Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) reports the inspection and transfer of 419 trucks of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, the highest number in a single day since the conflict began.

The Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) has reported the inspection and transfer of 419 trucks of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip today. This marks the highest number of trucks to enter Gaza in a single day since the onset of the conflict, following yesterday’s record of 322 trucks. Additionally, 29 trucks were coordinated to northern Gaza overnight, as per COGAT.

However, despite these efforts, Israel has denied Turkey’s request to participate in air drops of humanitarian aid to Gaza. This decision comes amidst ongoing tensions and security concerns in the region. Read More: Spain to Terminate Golden Visa Program to Prioritize Affordable Housing

In a separate development, COGAT announced that 258 packages containing “hundreds of thousands of meals” were airdropped over the Palestinian enclave via X, formerly Twitter, further bolstering humanitarian efforts in the area.

Earlier today, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller commented on the aid deliveries, stating that while the over 300 trucks that entered Gaza on Sunday were a positive start, the United States hoped to see more than 350 trucks enter per day starting later this week. This underscores the international community’s commitment to addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and providing essential aid to those in need.
