Chennai: Director Prasanth Varma’s Telugu blockbuster, ‘HanuMan’, featuring Teja Sajja in the lead role, is finally set to make its much-anticipated debut on OTT platforms after facing several delays attributed to technical challenges. In a heartfelt message ahead of its OTT premiere, Prasanth Varma took to social media to express his apologies to the fans for the prolonged wait, assuring them of his team’s unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional experience.
‘HanuMan’, which graced the screens during Sankranti 2024, emerged as one of the standout hits of the year. However, the journey towards its OTT release encountered unforeseen obstacles.
Initially scheduled for release on March 8, the film’s OTT premiere was postponed due to technical glitches. Now, ‘HanuMan’ is slated to hit JioCinema (Hindi version) and Zee5 (all South Indian languages) on March 16. Prior to this eagerly awaited release, Prasanth Varma reached out to the fans to express his gratitude and extend his apologies.
In his social media post, Varma expressed, “#HanuMan OTT streaming delay was not intentional! We have been working tirelessly round the clock to sort things and bring the film to you asap! Our intention is always to give you nothing but the best! Please try to understand and continue supporting us! Thank you! @Primeshowtweets @ThePVCU (sic).”

On JioCinema, the Hindi dubbed version of ‘HanuMan’ is set to premiere on March 16 starting from 8 pm onwards. Zee5, having secured the streaming rights for all South Indian languages, is gearing up for a simultaneous release.
‘HanuMan’ narrates the gripping tale of a superhero endowed with the divine powers of Lord Hanuman, embarked on a mission to rescue the inhabitants of the fictional realm of Anjanadri. Crafted by Prasanth Varma, the film marks the inaugural installment of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).
Featuring an ensemble cast comprising Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Vijay Rai, and Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles, ‘HanuMan’ reportedly boasted a production budget of Rs 40 crore and amassed a staggering revenue of over Rs 330 crore worldwide.
