India News: Tragic Cylinder Blast Claims Lives of 5 in Kakori Near Lucknow

The deceased were identified as Zardosi craftsman Munsheer Ali, his wife Husna Bano, and their nieces Huma, Ruiya, and 2-year-old Heeba.

A devastating cylinder blast late Tuesday night in Kakori, near Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, resulted in the tragic loss of five family members, including three children. The victims were identified as 50-year-old Zardosi craftsman Munsheer Ali, his wife Husna Bano, and their nieces Huma, Ruiya, and 2-year-old Heeba.

Reports indicate that the explosion was so powerful that it obliterated the entire wall of the room and caused damage to neighboring houses.

The sound of the blast reverberated across the area.

Upon receiving the distress call, local police promptly arrived at the scene, initiating a relief and rescue operation. Chief Fire Officer of Lucknow, Mangesh Kumar, described the harrowing scene upon arrival, stating, “Upon arriving at the site, we encountered a scene of utter devastation, with flames engulfing the surroundings.”

Despite the challenges, rescue teams worked tirelessly to contain the fire and prevent further harm.

The four individuals injured in the blast were swiftly transported to the Trauma Centre in Lucknow for medical treatment. However, their condition remains critical.

At present, the cause of the explosion remains unknown, prompting an investigation by authorities. The police have initiated the process of recording the Panchnama of the deceased, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem analysis.
