Mumbai: Vaani Kapoor, the celebrated actor, expressed her elation on embarking into the action-packed world of OTT with her debut series “Mandala Murders” on Netflix. This marks a significant milestone for Kapoor, who is recognized for her roles in acclaimed films such as “Shuddh Desi Romance” and “War”.

The series, produced by YRF Entertainment, a digital arm of Yash Raj Films, is helmed by the talented creator and director Gopi Puthran, renowned for his work on “Mardaani 2”. “Mandala Murders” stars Vaani Kapoor alongside Vaibhav Raj Gupta from the hit series “Gullak”, as they portray detectives striving to unravel a string of perplexing murders, possibly orchestrated by a clandestine society.

Reflecting on her excitement about venturing into the digital landscape, Kapoor shared her enthusiasm during the ‘Next on Netflix’ event. “It is a series and it’s my first series. It’s the first time I’m venturing into the digital arena with YRF and Netflix, it’s a proud moment. I’ve never done action, crime, or thriller genre. I’m excited that I got this opportunity,” she conveyed.

Kapoor, a fervent admirer of murder mysteries and crime thrillers, highlighted the allure of delving into the complexities of such narratives. “This is the first time I got the opportunity to get into the psyche, navigating through a maze of intrigue and suspense. It was edge of the seat… like what will happen next… that kind of a series,” she added.

With “Mandala Murders”, Vaani Kapoor is set to captivate audiences with her foray into the adrenaline-pumping world of crime-solving on the digital platform.
