New Delhi: Indian students aspiring for education in Japan received a heartening invitation from Japanese Ambassador to India, Hiroshi F Suzuki. Speaking to YouTuber Mayo San, Ambassador Suzuki emphasized the ease of obtaining a student visa for Japan, requiring only a student ID card.
Ambassador Suzuki highlighted Japan’s streamlined visa process and abundant skill development programs, emphasizing promising job opportunities awaiting Indian students in the “land of the rising sun”. He specifically urged Indian youth to explore educational prospects and work opportunities in Japan, assuring them of a straightforward visa acquisition process with just a student ID presentation.
Furthermore, Ambassador Suzuki announced a significant visa regulation update benefiting Indian students. Now, within three years of graduating from Indian universities, students can submit certificates of student status or graduation for short-term single-entry visas, fostering increased people-to-people exchanges between India and Japan, particularly among young visitors.
Expressing optimism about the growing bilateral exchanges, Ambassador Suzuki anticipates a positive trajectory in Indo-Japanese relations, fueled by the increasing influx of Indian students and professionals to Japan.
In a lighter vein, Ambassador Suzuki shared his culinary adventures in India, humorously referring to Indian cuisine as a “culture shock”. Despite finding Indian food spicy, he expressed a keen desire to continue exploring its diverse flavors, recounting memorable experiences with Misal Pav in Pune and engaging in spicy challenges with his wife.
Additionally, Ambassador Suzuki shared his affinity for India’s picturesque destinations, citing Ranthambore National Park and Darjeeling among his favorites.
