Putin Reveals Advances: Russia’s Nuclear Forces Upgraded by 95%

Cutting-edge Supersonic Bombers: Ready for Nuclear Missions

Moscow: In a significant address coinciding with Russia’s annual Defender of the Fatherland Day, President Vladimir Putin unveiled notable advancements in the country’s strategic defense capabilities. Highlighting the culmination of extensive modernization efforts, Putin announced that 95% of Russia’s strategic nuclear forces have been upgraded, accompanied by the introduction of four state-of-the-art supersonic bombers outfitted for nuclear missions.

Putin’s remarks came amidst commemorations honoring the nation’s armed forces, underscoring Russia’s commitment to bolstering its military prowess. Emphasizing the role of soldiers engaged in what he termed a “special military operation” in Ukraine, Putin lauded their valor and dedication to upholding “truth and justice”.

However, the focal point of Putin’s address rested on the achievements of Russia’s military-industrial complex, particularly the modernization strides within the nuclear triad – comprising land, sea, and air-based nuclear capabilities. Asserting the readiness and continuous modernization of these vital defense components, Putin reiterated the nation’s resolve to fortify its armed forces through ongoing re-equipping efforts.

“Incorporating our real combat experience, we will continue to strengthen the Armed Forces in every possible way, including ongoing re-equipping and modernization efforts,” stated Putin.

He further elaborated, “Today, the share of modern weapons and equipment in the strategic nuclear forces has already reached 95 per cent, while the naval component of the ‘nuclear triad’ is at almost 100 percent.”
