Dubai International Airport Creates Milestone with Inaugural Rooftop Marriage Proposal

In a breathtaking moment atop DXB’s iconic Concourse B, Dmitry popped the question to Anastasiia against a stunning backdrop of Dubai’s skyline, creating a historic milestone as the world’s first airport rooftop proposal.

Selected from numerous Valentine’s Day proposals submitted to DXB, Dmitry and Anastasiia’s love story unfolded in the most unexpected of places. Their journey began on a serendipitous New Year’s Eve in Dubai, where Anastasiia, visiting as a tourist, crossed paths with Dmitry at a restaurant. Sparks flew instantly, prompting Anastasiia to extend her stay in Dubai, forsaking her return flight to Russia.

Now, on Valentine’s Day, their romance reached new heights as Dmitry proposed atop Concourse B, 39.5 meters above ground level, with the bustling runway as their backdrop.

From the exclusive setting to the meticulously planned surprise, DXB spared no effort in ensuring that Dmitry and Anastasiia’s special moment was nothing short of magical. Following Anastasiia’s joyful ‘Yes!’, the couple embarked on a romantic one-day staycation at a lavishly decorated suite, courtesy of the DXB Hotel.
