Mumbai: Bollywood actress Esha Deol, daughter of iconic actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, and her husband Bharat Takhtani have reportedly decided to part ways after twelve years of marriage.
In a joint statement published in Delhi Times, the couple expressed that their separation was a mutual and amicable decision, prioritizing the well-being of their two children. They urged for privacy during this challenging time.
“We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. The best interests and welfare of our two children are paramount to us. We request our privacy to be respected”, stated the couple in their joint statement to the newspaper.
The couple tied the knot in June 2012 and are parents to two daughters, Radhya and Miraya.
Despite maintaining a facade of domestic bliss, reports of marital discord surfaced in recent months, with Takhtani’s absence at Hema Malini’s 75th birthday further fueling speculation.
