Mumbai: Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Fighter’ witnessed a remarkable surge on its tenth day, raking in a whopping ₹10.5 crore in India, following weeks of lukewarm response at the domestic box office. As per Sacnilk.com, the aerial action film, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor as Indian Air Force officers, has now amassed an estimated total of ₹162.75 crore nett in India.
The film’s journey began with an opening of ₹22.5 crore on January 25, reaching its pinnacle with ₹39.5 crore nett as its highest day-wise collection. The box office trajectory included ₹27.5 crore nett on Saturday, ₹29 crore nett on Sunday, and subsequent figures for the weekdays. ‘Fighter’ has successfully engaged audiences, with its dynamic portrayal of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, and Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, along with their elite Indian Air Force unit – Air Dragons.
Shot primarily at Indian air bases with real Sukhois and Indian fighter planes, the film boasts a stellar cast including Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi. Notably, this marks the first collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, and the third film between Deepika and director Siddharth Anand.
