Mumbai: Prashanth Neel’s blockbuster, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire”, starring Indian actor Prabhas, made waves with its theatrical debut last December. Now, eager fans await the OTT release on Netflix, offering the flexibility to watch the magnum opus at their convenience. Early speculations suggest that Netflix has also secured Hindi translation rights.

While the OTT platform for the Hindi version remains undisclosed, rumors hint at a possible Netflix release on Republic Day. The delay in the Hindi version’s release might be attributed to rights being sold to another OTT platform or Bollywood exhibitors advocating for a two-month gap between theatrical and OTT releases.

Following the underwhelming performance of Prabhas’ “Adipurush” at the box office, fans turned to “Salaar” for solace. The mass-action film garnered praise, setting overseas box office records with an estimated gross of Rs 178.7 crore. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, it now holds the fifth-biggest Hindi opening for any South Indian film.

The star-studded cast of “Salaar: Ceasefire – Part 1”, directed by Prashant Neel, includes Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Eswari Rao, Sriya Reddy, Prabhass, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapthi Babu, and Bobby Simha.
